You don’t need more willpower.
You need to understand your nervous system.
Most of our behavior isn’t as intentional as we think. It’s shaped by the state of our nervous system.
For countless people, their relationship with food stands between them and their health goals. That's not something willpower fixes. It's not something more information fixes either. It's a nervous system pattern, and nervous system patterns respond to nervous system work.
Meet Irene
I'm Irene Rose, a registered dietitian and nervous system specialist. My work is built on one core piece of science: eating behavior is governed by the nervous system, not by willpower or discipline. My method is called Greet the Pull.
Every choice around food, what to eat, what to avoid, when to stop, when you can't stop, gets decided somewhere below your awareness, in the nervous system where the pattern first formed. That's where the real decision happens, before willpower or intention ever gets a vote.
You can change what's on your plate. You can change what you know. But the pattern doesn't move until the system underneath it does. That's the level my work addresses, because it's the only level where change actually lasts.
Twenty-four years as a nutrition professional. The last seven spent here specifically, at the level where the pattern actually lives.
